The two main types are solid hardwood and engineered hardwood. Solid hardwood is made from a single piece of wood, while engineered hardwood consists of a top layer of hardwood adhered to a core of high-quality plywood or other composite materials. we carry other type of flooring material such as Laminate , Vinyl and Cork flooring.
Consider factors such as wood species, color, grain pattern, hardness, width of planks, finish, and your budget.
Hardwood flooring can be installed over existing floors, such as concrete or plywood, if the surface is clean, dry, and level. However, it is not recommended to install hardwood over carpet or other soft materials.
The ideal moisture content for hardwood flooring installation is between 6% and 9%.
Allow the flooring to acclimate to the room’s temperature and humidity for at least 3-5 days before installation. This helps minimize expansion and contraction after installation.
Hardwood can be installed in kitchens, but extra care is needed to protect against moisture. Engineered hardwood is more suitable for basements due to its resistance to moisture. Bathrooms are generally not recommended for hardwood installation due to high humidity.
